Imagine if every parent in your child’s nursery or school class signed up to The Kids Party Pact. Game changer!
Adapt and use these templates to share The Kids Party Pact with your local childcare providers, parents communities and educators.
We did it, the nursery manager was 100% on board and shared it with ALL of their parents via the nursery app. We’ve seen a flurry of sign-ups off the back of it.

Hi [Name],
I’m writing to ask whether you’d be able to share this with parents at [nursery/school name]? It’s something I’ve signed up to and think a lot of other parents at [nursery/school] would get behind.
The Kids Party Pact is a parent-led campaign to make gifting at kids parties more affordable and sustainable. They’ve recently been granted funding from the National Lottery Community Fund – and have been featured on BBC Newsround, in The Times and Positive News.
The aim is to get parents talking – and agreeing to make gifts and party bags more affordable and less wasteful. The idea is to remove the pressure of buying expensive gifts, normalise pre-loved gifting and teaching children that fun doesn’t come from stuff.
At its heart, The Kids Party Pact is about making birthdays easier and more enjoyable for everyone.
It offers parents a supportive framework for setting clear expectations around gifts and celebrations, while ensuring children still feel special and included.
You can see all the details here: www.kidspartypact.org
I’ve attached a flyer you can share if that helps. [download this at below!]
Thanks so much

Subject: Request to Share Kids’ Party Pact in the School Newsletter
Dear [Headteacher’s Name / School Office],
I’m writing to ask if it might be possible to include a short piece in the school newsletter about the Kids’ Party Pact, a national initiative (recently awarded National Lottery funding, and featured on BBC Newsround and The Times) that I’m helping to promote locally.
The Pact encourages families to take the pressure off children’s parties by:
- Keeping them affordable – no expectation of expensive gifts
- Making them planet-friendly – second-hand, handmade or experience-based gifts encouraged
- Focusing on joy – simple, inclusive celebrations without unnecessary stress or waste

Thank you so much for considering this. I’ve attached a flyer that could go into the newsletter.
Warm regards,

- Hey everyone, I came across the Kids Party Pact – it’s a way to make parties less expensive, less stressful (and less wasteful!). I’ve signed! Thought I’d share in case this is something any of you would like to join in with – they also have loads of great party inspiration. kidspartypact.org.
- Hi all 👋, according to friends with older kids…reception year can get pretty busy with birthday parties 😅 With that in mind, I wanted to share The Kids Party Pact, something I’ve been following and signed up so. The aim is to normalise more affordable, less wasteful gifting and party bags. No pressure of course, but I wanted to share in case it’s of interest to anyone 🙂
- Hello everyone, I thought I’d share something I’ve been following and signed up to it’s called the Kids Party Pact. The idea is just to agree on more planet and pocket friendly gifts for parties so no one feels pressure and the kids don’t end up with mountains of stuff. Absolutely no pressure, but I’m curious to know what others think?
- Hi! Random thought… does anyone else feel slightly overwhelmed by the whole kids’ party gift thing? 🙈 I heard about the Kids Party Pact, where parents agree to keep presents simple. I thought it sounded like a bit of a lifesaver – would anyone be up for trying it?
- Hi everyone — quick question. How do you all feel about kids’ party presents and party bags? I’ve come across something called the Kids Party Pact. It’s all about taking the pressure off spending too much, and encouraging less waste. I’m going to sign up – just wondered if it’s something anyone else wants to join me in doing!?
